WHAT
Creative Beat Masters is a series of free music-making workshops where young people can produce tracks using professional sound recording and electronic equipment. Participants will receive mentoring from talented musicians and DJs. No experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm, and if you have an instrument, feel free to bring it along!
Our vision is to foster healthy, resilient, and creative communities where every young person, regardless of socio-economic background, has equal access to music education and mentorship.
Creative Beat Masters has been thoughtfully crafted to meet the diverse needs of young attendees. Our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) plays a vital role in decision-making, ensuring our programs are relevant and inclusive. By involving the YAC, we tailor Creative Beat Masters to the specific needs of youth in our community!
The program uses music-making to enhance well-being and foster connections. Through self-expression and exploring identity through music, participants can voice their emotions, boost self-esteem, and cultivate happiness. This holistic approach addresses both physical and mental health needs, providing opportunities for personal growth and social interaction.
Creative Beat Masters offers access to professional recording equipment and a broadcast platform, making creative expression accessible to all, regardless of experience. Led by professional mentors with extensive experience in youth engagement, music equipment, recording, and songwriting, the program focuses on participants’ unique abilities and creativity. Our mentors provide coaching on instruments, creative guidance, and advice on entering the music industry.
This program is proudly funded by the NSW Government Regional Youth Holiday Program.
